Why is Myrtle Urkel sent to live in Mississippi?
After Urkel causes a late night ruckus with his late-night serenade of Laura (thanks to Eddie's encouragement), he is sent to Mississippi to live. Just as the Winslows are commenting how peaceful everything has been the last few days without Urkel, his cousin - southern belle Myrtle Urkel (Jaleel White in a dual role) - shows up.

In turn, Myrtle is ashamed of herself because she had realized how foolish she looks in trying to make Eddie love her back and dump Greta. She decides that Steve had the right idea and that she should look for a guy who will love her as herself and not care of others' opinions of her.
What happened to Myrtle on Chicago PD?
Myrtle make her last visit in Chicago in the end credits to Steve and Myra as they're moving his things back to the Urkel home next door. She tells them that she has relinquished her love for Eddie and is planning to return to Biloxi to find a man who will love her as herself.
